About Fiona

Fiona Rigg began her culinary career in London in the 1980’s.  Her unique path has combined formal culinary training with experience studying and working as an interior designer and food stylist. This combination of skills has led to Fiona becoming a highly sought after food stylist, food economist and recipe developer working with leading photographers and food manufacturers.

Her food styling work includes TV commercials, print advertising, magazine and newspaper editorials, packaging, cookbooks, live demonstrations and training.

Fiona combines technical skills and a deep understanding of food science with a passion for design, aesthetics and an extensive knowledge of Mediterranean, Asian and Middle Eastern food. After 25 years in the business, Fiona knows how to work under pressure on any set/location or makeshift kitchen.

Fiona’s food styling clients include food manufacturers, supermarkets, department stores, publishers, leading magazines and newspapers and she also leads a voluntary ‘cooking with the elderly’ program at the Brotherhood of St. Laurence.

Fiona Rigg's recent styling work includes WWF Earth Hour Australia 2015 inaugural cook book 'Planet to Plate’ and the Themomix cookbook 'In the Mix 2' by Dani Valent which won an award in the 2014 Gourmand World Cookbook Awards.

Fiona has set up a purpose built kitchen in Red Hill on the beautiful Mornington Peninsula, where she continues to style and develop recipes.
